Province-wide Hiring of Speech Language Pathologists

Twelve school districts are hiring Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for multiple roles in British Columbia.  School district employers in the regions of Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, Cariboo, Okanagan, Northern BC, and Vancouver Island are all hiring to fill full-time, part-time and temporary roles in this high demand position.

Speech Language Pathologists employed within a school district typically travel from school to school across various communities, which leads to variety in the work environment, and opportunities to work with students from diverse backgrounds.

SLPs play a critical role in assisting in and facilitating the early learning of students with communications challenges.  In a typical day, SLPs may work with a school based student services team to help assess, diagnose, and develop educational interventions for children with communication difficulties brought upon by stuttering, swallowing disorders, hyperlexia and hearing loss.
